Leslie Dianne

Leslie Dianne is a Southern-based Writer/Actor/Script Supervisor willing to travel anywhere domestically or abroad to work on projects.

Growing up in the 1970’s and wishing to follow the steps of Mary Richards, Leslie studied Broadcast Journalism at Arkansas State University, graduating with a degree in Radio/Television and a minor in Marketing. While at A-State, Leslie joined Chi Omega Sorority, where she met lifelong friends and became involved in volunteering and helping others.

After being employed as a Technical Writer and involved in creative writing groups, Leslie earned an M.A. in Technical and Expository Writing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She then began a career as a Technical Editor, which spanned almost twenty years, where she wrote and edited newsletters, technical documentation, policies, and procedures.

After taking early retirement in 2015, Leslie began a second career as a Background Actor and continued to become involved in film and television production. Active on Actors Access, Central Casting, On Location Casting, and Casting Networks, Leslie has appeared in many television and film productions, including Scandal, True Detective, American Housewife, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Santa Clarita Diet, Young Sheldon, God’s Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness, Sovereign, and the Flo Rida music video Zillionaire.

In the summer of 2016, Leslie was enrolled in the University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinematic Arts where she completed two courses, “Breaking into the Film/Television Industry” taught by Eve Honthaner and “The Writers Room: Writing for Situational (Sitcom) Television, taught by Professor Jim Staahl.

One of the highlights of Leslie’s production experience occurred in the summer of 2024, when she was selected to participate in the Ready for Action program funded by the Office of Skills Development. Leslie worked in the Art Department under the direction of Caity Birmingham and assisted with Continuity as the group produced the short film “Generational”, written and directed by Jen Gerber. During this time, Leslie also completed the course, Script Supervisor CEO, by Jennifer Carriere.

When she is not writing or involved with productions, Leslie likes spending time with her two daughters, playing with her dog Darren and cat Miss Kitty, traveling, appearing on game shows, and is very interested in true crime.
